The film is about a girl in Hungary who was sold into slavery. The director Michael Davis had met the girl in real life, and decided to make a film about her experience. In this CNN interview, he expresses strong opposition to human trafficking, especially of young girls. He was introduced to Bulgarian girls who had been human trafficked by Bulgarian organization in 2003. One of the girls he met was Svetlana. Michael Davis had every intention of making a fim about her and letting the world know about the atrocities.
